Digital Citizenship

With the dangerous content that is available on the web how can we teach our students to use school and personal digital devices in a responsible manner?

I think a lot of this comes down to modeling and conversations, but there is some curriculum out there as well.

K-12 Digital Citizenship looks pretty extensive, but I haven’t had any experience with it. I’m also a bit confused by their site, where they give mixed and unclear messages about the cost of their stuff.

BrainPop has a great series on digital citizenship that I have used successfully with students in the past: BrainPop Digital Citizenship

Thanks Mike I will check this out!

Thanks Emily! We use BrainPop all the time in our classroom. We will look for that series.

In the past, I have used and like the resources from Common Sense that @MikeSmart mentioned. There also are some Cyber Safety resources in the Curriculum Hub. I am pretty sure BrainPop will have some fun resources too.

At a glance, that cyber safety for staff course in the hub looks pretty good.
