Hi all,
If you know a middle or high school educator interested in implementing Code.org’s curriculum next year, here are a few PD opportunities to consider:
I have been in touch with a contact at TpT, the regional partner for Code.org’s new middle and high school curriculum, and he let me know that there is a new high school educator year-long professional development opportunity starting through Code.org and TpT for high school educators who are interested in implementing Code.org’s version of CS Principles (AP CS) curriculum in their classes next school year - see the link below for more info!
Additionally, there is a similar middle school educator year-long professional development opportunity through the same program that is focused on implementing Code.org’s new middle school coding curriculum - CS Discoveries. (see link below).
Computer Science Principles (High School) Professional Learning Program - https://code.org/educate/professional-learning/cs-principles . This is for teachers grades 9-12. Again, no prerequisites required other than being a current practicing teacher in any grade 9-12.
Computer Science Discoveries (Middle School) Professional Learning Program - https://code.org/educate/professional-learning/cs-discoveries . This is for teachers grades 6-10. The only prerequisite is that they are a current practicing teacher in any grade 6-10.
Feel free to share with other educators who might be interested!
Thanks,
Andrea Wilson Vazquez
