Anyone having to deal with this? https://www.theatlantic.com/technology/archive/2019/03/hottest-chat-app-teens-google-docs/584857/
I haven’t had this issue with my elementary students, but I have to admit I have used the tactic myself in meetings!
That’s funny, I’ve considered it myself.
A couple years ago I asked if this was a feature that could be turned off. I’ll have to ask Jonas again if it’s possible. I don’t know if there’s any interest in that at 287, but we use a Google Apps domain for the MPCC and hundreds of school districts have access to that curriculum and I was hoping to have that shut down to preemptively address any issues.
I’m surprised that we’re just seeing this article in 2019. We were talking about the issue a few years ago. I figured it’d be a thing much sooner.
Although it’s possible that adults are only catching on to the thing now, and kids have been using it for three years?
